Winestone Korona Restaurant in Budapest

Többször voltunk már a Winestone-ban. Alapvetően mindig jól éreztük magunkat, ahogy legutóbb is. Jó az étterem hangulata, kellemesek a borok. A fogások jó értelemben véve egyszerűek, letisztultak. Hotel-étterem, de elég jól elszeparálva a lobby-tól, így megvan az önálló éttermi hangulat.

We went for dinner to restaurant Winestone Budapest Korona this evening on recommendation of a friend. Unfortunately we had an awful experience at the restaurant. We entered the Mercury hotel, had a nice warm and polite welcome at the reception where we asked if we could have dinner for two, which was no problem, so we walked towards the restaurant. A old waiter welcomed us(very fake smile, judging look and all came across very rude). We asked for a table for 2. He asked if we had a reservation, no we didn't, then he continues to tell us everything is fully booked while the restaurant was close to EMPTY! My friend and I gave each other a look like tf. The old waiter probably noticed and offered a high table in a corner with again a fake smile. (His whole demeanor was so off the whole evening.) We sat down got the menu. It took ages before the old rude waiter came and took our order for food and drinks. Again with a very rude posture as if he wanted to say we are not welcome there. The drinks were amazing and served with a smile from the young friendly barman. We got our food, (served by the young friendly barman) which was just average and some what plain to taste... during our dinner no one came to check up on us! The old man didn't even look in our direction and completely ignored us. We also noticed that all the tables had no reservation cards on it. And that other guest's were welcome to sit where ever they pleased. WHY DID WE GET A DIFFERENT TREATMENT?!? After some time the young friendly barman noticed us and the fact we were being ignored and came to clear the table, asked very politely if we wanted dessert or some more drinks which we kindly declined. We were so disgusted by the old rude server and his manners that we choose to have desert elsewhere! One of the most awful restaurant experiences we have ever had.

Egy cézár saláta, pot au feu, bébi csirke, malac császár megkóstolása után maradt bennünk némi elégedetlenség. A pincér aranyos volt, hogy elmondta az eredeti cézár salátában nincs csirke, és az asztalnál összeállítás igazán jó ötlet. Az ekler fánk csapnivalóan rossz volt, egyszerűen olyan édes volt, hogy folyamatosan inni kellett hozzá. A túrógombóc viszont kellemesen volt édesítve és finom puha volt.

Maximálisan elégedettek voltunk mind a kiszolgálással, mind az ízekkel, mind az ételek mennyiségével. A marhahúsleves velőscsonttal és a tejesbárány csülök egyszerűen isteni volt! Biztosan vendégcsalogató lenne, ha az állandó kínálatnak is része lenne! Köszönjük a finom és laktató ebédet! Máskor is jövünk! :-)))

A személyzet profi. Az ételek jó minőségűek, az étterem hangulata is hozza az elvárt szintet. Csak ajánlani tudom.
