Always good to be here. The staff, the atmosphere and obviously the quality and creative dishes are impressive. One of the best in Budapest.

The food wasnt much good. We ate in many restaurants around the world and there is no value for money. Its very expensive for nothing.

We had a four dishes taste menu with wine. The dishes were excellent in taste and presentation. The wines were perfect match to the food. It was interesting to test local Hungarian wines. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and professional. It was one of the best meals in our lives. With kind regards Anneli and Björn

The food is good, very nice. There is much attension on detail. We went for a 5 course diner. We did't like that we could't fill in our own choice for the fourth course. you can only between cheese or pre dessert. They serve only hungarian wine when you choose a 4, 5 or 6 etc.course menu. I think you must go for the best wine with the dish. Overall we enjoyed the diner and give it an 8

Costes is one of the best restaurants I ever been to. Staff was great and the food was great. I will defently come back next time I am in Budapest.

This restaurant is absolutely the best of the best! We had a fantastic dinner with four persons. All the courses were exquisit, the wines were very nice and the staff was very much paying attention. Would definetly go there again. It's not cheap, but worth every penny!!

What an amazing night, indeed. Having heard that Costes was 'a really nice restaurant' we booked a table. My friend and I where overjoyed when it turned out to be the best place in the whole of Budapest! The dishes were little treasures of fab food, every single one of them. Inspite of the Michelin star, service was warm and cheerful, no stiff upper lip here, just the perfect kind of class mixed with some sense of humour. At these prices, one could never get this sort of meal in a French starred restaurant under €100, I will be returning to Budapest pretty soon.

Most voltunk először a Costes étteremben és a Felfedező menüt próbáltuk ki. Összességében jókat tudok írni az étteremről. Már a fogadtatás is rendkívül profi, de ugyanakkor közvetlen volt. Őszintén szólva úgy gondoltuk, hogy kissé feszélyezett lesz a hangulat, vagy a mi hangulatunk lesz az, de ez egyáltalán nem így volt. A pincérek mindegyike kimondottan kedves volt, segítőkész és megfelelően közvetlen. A hangulat ennek megfelelően rendkívül jó volt. Az első fogás előtt 2 kisebb ajándékfogással kedveskedtek, melyek közül kiemelném a kecskesajtos macaront. Ezt mindenkinek meg kell kóstolnia. Az első fogás marinált kacsamáj volt aminek már a tálalása is olyan szemet gyönyörködtető, hogy szinte "sajnáltam nekikezdeni". A tálaláson túl az ízek is kitűnőek voltak. A következő a brokkolikrémleves volt lazac betéttel, majd főételként báránygerinc cukkinivel és egyéb köretekkel. Ez egy nagyon jól eltalált fogás, mert sokféle íz találkozik és mind harmóniában áll egymással. Ezután egy ötletes kókuszos elődesszert következett, ahol megintcsak sokféle finom íz találkozott, a tálalás pedig ismét izgalmasra sikerült. De a legnagyobb meglepetés a fogások végén érkezett: a körtés, fagylaltos csokoládés desszert. Ez a fogás a szemünk előtt "kelt életre". Egy csokigömböt kell elképzelni, benne körte és fagylalt. Ezta gömböt leöntik forró csokiszósszal, majd a gömb kinyílik és feltűnik a desszert. Nagyon érdekes desszert, igazi finomság. Az étkezés végén pedig érkezett még egy ajándék fogás is, szóval összességében maximálisan elégedettek voltunk, mind az ételekkel, mind a kiszolgálással és a hangulattal. Gratulálunk a Costes teljes személyzetének! Csak ajánlani tudom másoknak is.

A few days ago my Hungarian friends invited me to visit restaurant Costes. We spent a really great night there with a lot of new and exciting flavors. Servers were kind and professional. Overall I give almost 10 points to Costes:)

Nemrég volt alkalmam ellátogatni a Costes étterembe. Feszélyezett légkörre számítottam, de kellemesen csalódtam, mert tökéletesen jól éreztem magam. Az ételek italok és a kiszolgálás is megfelelő volt. Abban a kategóriában amit ez az étterem képvisel az árak korrektnek mondhatóak. Mindsen nap az ember nem tud ilyen helyen étkezni, de alkalomadtán érdemes kipróbálni annak aki megteheti.

A Costes számomra mindenféle étteremben eleganciát, stílust és maximális vendégközpontú hozzáállást mutatott. Szerintem a pincérek jelenléte nagyon is jó, nem tolakodó, de ugyanakkor mindig ott vannak amikor ott kell, hogy legyenek. Nem véletlen kapott az étterem Michelin csillagot.

Michelin star Budapest restaurant Costes is a promising initiative, but not yet more, certainly does not live up to the level@quality of Western European starred restaurants. We tasted the discovery menu, which seemed to us a misconcept - one main course is missing (the fish) and serving sorbet before the desert is just against the rules. The wine arrangement mainly fair, but the 2009 Gere rose should be replaced (it’s just a cheap uncharacteristic wine). The service is far from effortlessness – should be more personalised (at least 6 waiters attended our table during the dinner). The interrior is undoubtedly well designed in contemporary european style, but we missed the essence, which make restaurants really great. Kata@Thomas date of visit 10.29.2010.
